Job overview

Vision for Education, the supply arm of TES and leading education recruitment specialist, is looking to recruit Primary School Teachers who are looking for work in Special Educational Needs (SEND) Schools in Peterborough from September 2018.

This role will involve you developing and enhancing learning in the classroom for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You must be able to teach lessons in an engaging and enthusiastic manner and be able to complete planning and marking. You would need to have the ability to manage a class of children with potentially challenging behaviours and ensure that all children remain engaged with their work and the subject content you’re teaching. You must have the ability to build strong relationships with students and have a positive influence on their learning.

You will be expected to provide a level of attention appropriate to individual pupil's needs and be able to modify you approach to ensure that desired learning outcomes are achieved in class.

Ideally, you will have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and be primary-trained. Experience of working with pupils with Autism (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) is adventurous too. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher who wishes to work in a rewarding environment or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking for an exciting position.

In return for your hard work, we will provide the following for your hard work:

Ø Excellent and transparent rates of pay.

Ø Consistent training courses such as Team Teach, Moving & Handling Autism Awareness, as well as access to eLearning Courses through EduCare (paid for by Vision) to continue your individual professional development.

Ø Generous Refer a Friend Scheme.

Ø Dedicated team that work with our supply staff to place them in schools and locations that suit them.

Ø Wages paid directly into your bank account every week via PAYE (not through an umbrella company)

Ø We are an agency that won't charge your school a fee should they wish to offer you a permanent contract; we won't stand in the way of your career.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and meet Vision for Education's stringent safeguarding checks for this position. We will also require you to hold a current DBS certificate (Child Workforce only) and it be registered on the Online Update Service. If your DBS is not registered online or you do not hold a DBS under Child Workforce, Vision will assist in your application.

If you feel you have the qualities we are looking for and would like to know more, please call the Peterborough office on 01733 371371. Alternatively, please send us your current CV.
