The ethos of Trinity Multi Academy Trust is simple; to make a positive difference to the lives of as many young people as possible.  The Trust has a relentless focus on improvement.

Trinity MAT, based in Halifax, is the home of the award-winning White Rose Maths and West Yorkshire Maths Hub.  We also have our own Institute of Education that works in our schools and supports schools regionally.  Our work has national acclaim and materials produced by the team are used by schools across the country.

All of these fantastic and exciting initiatives require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff and an exciting vacancy has arisen within the trust for a Primary Science Specialist.  This is a great opportunity to be involved with the work of White Rose Education, Trinity Institute of Education and wider work of Trinity MAT.

The key areas of responsibility may include;

  • Supporting the teaching of Science in our MAT primary schools
  • Providing bespoke school improvement work to local schools
  • Delivery of high-quality White Rose Education training online and face to face
  • Producing high quality materials
  • Support the training of Early Career teachers and aspiring leaders through Trinity Institute of Education.

You will have knowledge and experience of teaching Science in a primary provision and be committed to improving student outcomes within the subject.  You will lead by example and have the drive and enthusiasm to develop the teaching practice of your colleagues.  You must be prepared for regular travel as part of this role as our work is not based in one location and extends across the country.

This role would suit an experienced practitioner looking for a new, different and unique challenge.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining the flagship high performing academy Trust

Start date: 01 September 2022

Closing date: 9.00am; Thursday 19 May

Interviews: Monday 23 May

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. The trust is committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment and exists to serve the students in its care. We encourage all schools within the trust to celebrate their distinctive identity, whilst actively supporting each other to share best practice and their commitment to continual improvement.

In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.

In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains ten academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.

Our people are key to our continued growth and success. There is a relentless focus on improving standards for all children and young people in our care.  Working within the trust gives all staff the opportunity to work with some of the best practitioners and leaders, regardless of your location.

Our improvement strategies are based on clear systems and support, from our outstanding behaviour systems to regular teacher led CPD sessions, the trust recognises the value of empowering staff through quality weekly CPD, training and support. At the heart of our people strategies are the opportunities for staff at all levels to develop and progress their career.
