The governors wish to appoint an ‘outstanding’ teacher, who is passionate and willing to learn about supporting and teaching children with autism.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic professionals who have vision and energy to promote the current standards of achievement to ensure the continued development and progress of the school. We are looking for a qualified teacher ideally with experience of teaching pupils with autism although not essential. Consideration will also be given to a suitably qualified first time appointment.

Phoenix is an Outstanding School (Ofsted December 2013) with strong leadership and a committed staff team. Pupils are aged between 3 and 19 and make very good progress with access to a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum. We are an accredited National Autistic Society School and have been praised for our creative approach to working with children with autism and their parents.
The school has excellent facilities which include specialist classrooms, a sensory studio, water therapy pool, therapy rooms, soft play room, horticulture area, Expressive Arts Studio and creative play spaces. From September 2015 an innovative new 19-25 college provision is now in place. We are very well resourced, have excellent ICT provision and offer a successful Extended Schools programme.
