This exciting and rewarding post is suitable for experienced teachers to join our primary team leading a core subject.

St Thomas’s Centre pupil referral unit in Blackburn and Darwen encompasses 4-16 year old pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and also includes pupils with more serious medical issues. We cater for young people aged 4-16 years who have been either permanently excluded or who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school.

The Management Committee and Senior Leadership Team wish to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible practitioner.

St Thomas’s Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to references and enhanced DBS checks.

We are seeking to appoint a primary teacher.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent practitioner
• Have the knowledge and experience, or ambition to teach across the whole range of age and ability
• Be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved
