About the job
Summer School Site Manager/Directors of Studies is responsible for the running and development of ICS’s Summer Programmes for students during June, July and August. Each Site Manager/DoS's role is grounded in ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all students in their care, and that all summer school team members have the same priority. All aspects of courses are expected to adhere to statutory regulations, school policies, and the frameworks provided by Ofsted and the British Council. 

Primary Summer Site Manager/DoS will be based in one of our primary sites ( students are 3-9 years old or 7-10 years old) located near Baker Street & Marylebone Underground Stations.

About ICS

Established in 1979, ICS is all year round Independent IB School for students from 3 to 17 years old. Summer School is recognised as a Centre of Excellence, based on a 2016 British Council inspection which placed ICS among the top English language schools in the UK for young people. Each week focuses on a particular theme, such as culture, history, commerce, or the environment. The thematic nature of the course means students will not repeat the same lesson or excursion no matter when they arrive or for how long they stay. 

Working days and hours 

From 19 June to 25 August 2017 on a full-time fixed term contract. 

8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday + 1 Saturday induction on 24th June

Please note that this is a non- residential summer school.
 

Requirements:

•Educated to degree level or equivalent
  •CELTA/ TESOL + DELTA/ Post Graduate Cert in Education, or equivalent.
  •Experience of managing a summer school
  •Ability to support, motivate, lead and inspire a team of teachers
  •Strong commitment to child protection and safeguarding.
