We have a permanent part time vacancy in our Primary Support Base and are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. A Primary Support Base is a specialist provision for children exhibiting difficulty with their social, emotional or mental health development as well as challenging behaviour. Our provision is based in a mainstream setting and our team offers support to children and staff within this setting and at schools in the local area.

Your role will be to support children with Social, Emotional and mental health difficulties as a member of our Primary Support Base extended roll team. This role predominantly consists of outreach work covering schools in the Borehamwood and Potters Bar area.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of supporting children with additional needs
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transportation
• Have experience working in a primary school environment
• Have the highest expectations
• Enjoy new challenges and working as part of a team
• Be able to work on their own initiative
• Be friendly and have a good sense of humour
• Have a positive and calm approach
