Chiltern Way Academy (CWA) is an innovative and transformational Special Needs school for students aged 9 – 19. We provide high-quality education, care and therapies for the huge range of need that exists across the behaviour spectrum. Our Prestwood campus works with students on the Autistic spectrum and our Wendover campus works with students with a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic and inspirational primary teacher for our Wendover campus. Someone who will challenge and motivate our students to get the very best outcomes.

We would love to hear from you and we welcome applications from all phases and backgrounds. You do not require SEN experience as we will train you to become an expert practitioner!

We Offer

  • Generous salary
  • Highly developed and innovative SEN training
  • Increased professional development and career opportunities
  • An opportunity to be involved in the development and progression of the school and wider community
  • Excellent induction programme
  • On-going mentoring and coaching
  • A very supportive team

We Want

  • Teachers who want to get on with the teaching and cut down on the administration
  • Dynamic, reflective, progressive practitioners
  • Teachers who want to develop their careers

Here's what our staff say;

“I joined the school as an NQT and embarked on an extensive program of training in teaching, learning and behaviour management along with all the safeguarding requirements when teaching in an SEN setting.
The training has been and continues to be developmental, consistently focussed on progress to achieve the best outcomes for our students.”

 “Having several years’ experience at middle manager level, I initially took a step backwards in my career path when I joined CWA as an English teacher. CWA is challenging, even for the most experienced and resilient of teaching staff. However, those who want to succeed will succeed, and will be supported in their own learning journey.”

We encourage you to visit us so please call to make an appointment to meet the team and our students and experience our friendly school.
