Hours: 35 per week (full time)
East Craig's Primary are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join their team on a fixed term basis. This post will begin in February 2020. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching at different stages and will be open to innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
East Craigs Primary School is a non-denominational primary school, which serves the area of northwest Edinburgh including significant areas of owner occupied housing and local authority tenants/housing association.
The Senior Leadership Team consists of a Head teacher, one full time Depute Head Teacher, a part-time Depute Head Teacher (0.6) and a Depute Head Teacher (0.4 FTE)/Principal Teacher (0.6 FTE). The current school roll is 503 which includes our Nursery, which caters for 40 children in the morning and 40 in the afternoon. We are extending our Early Learning and Childcare Provision through the Forest Kindergarten approach. The class configuration is currently 15 classes. Specialist teachers deliver PE, Science and Music, together with tutors for string and brass instruments.
