Location:            Bradfields Specialist SEN Academy Medway Towns, Kent

Start Date:         ASAP or April 2026

 

Fortis Trust is seeking to appoint a talented, creative and innovative thinker to join the Primary Community at Bradfields Academy who will be instrumental in further developing this provision.

 

The Primary community consist of students with ASD/ASC diagnoses and ranges from EYFS classes through to Year 6 classes.

 

Candidates should have a clear understanding of effective teaching, raising and sustaining achievement and the care and support of complex young individuals with a range of SEND. They should have a vision and drive to deliver meaningful and personalised curricula, which provide stretch and challenge, enabling all students to achieve.

 

Interested applicants should be good communicators; able to engage effectively with young children and their parents/carers on a daily basis. Ideally, they will have experience of working with non-verbal students and be familiar with alternative forms of communication, sensory processing issues, and a clear understanding of behaviour as a learning need.

 

The academy is looking for a quality teacher willing to join our excellent and happy team of staff to further Bradfields as a well-known and respected Special Academy. We would welcome interest from both ECTs and experienced teachers. The successful candidate will be provided with individualised professional support and induction, including accessing further professional qualifications as required.

Our examination results continue to show that irrespective of need and diagnosis, all students, when provided with appropriate support and challenge can achieve accreditation. Furthermore, we are evidencing increasing numbers of students achieving qualifications, in certain subjects, that are in line with those achieved by their peers in mainstream settings.
