Here at Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School we are on a journey of consistent improvement and are currently ranked in the top 2% of primary schools for the teaching of Maths during 2019. Our Ofsted grading is ‘Good’ in all areas (February 2019).
Our 222 children, aged between 3 and 11, come from the village itself or travel in (many by school bus) from other neighbouring villages. We pride ourselves on our hard-working staff, our supportive AAB and our delightful children. Our school was first built in 1877 and we have been striving to improve the education we provide ever since! Visitors to our school frequently comment on the lovely family-like atmosphere. The academy is a busy and vibrant place. We pride ourselves on knowing our children well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential.

Hatfield Woodhouse Primary Academy is a small one form entry primary school to the east of Doncaster. We educate approximately 222 pupils between the ages of 3 and 11. Our children come from the village itself or travel in (many by school bus) from other neighbouring villages. Our school was first built in 1877 and we have been striving to improve the education we provide ever since!
We pride ourselves on our hard-working staff, our supportive AAB and our delightful children. In addition to our academic attainment in reading, writing and maths, we also think it is important to educate our children to be good citizens who know and care about their local community and their world.
Visitors to our school frequently comment on the lovely family-like atmosphere. Behaviour is good – our children are keen to learn and enjoy following our Woodhouse Ways and Wows.
Our staff are talented and enthusiastic and have all contributed to the academy’s success story. We are an excellent team, who both work and socialise together.
