The International School of Toulouse opened in 1999. It is an IB World School, fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The School has approximately 550 children representing more than 30 nationalities. IST offers a quality English language education for children of both international and local families living in Toulouse and the surrounding area. The Primary School caters for children from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 5 and the Secondary School prepares students for (I)GCSE qualifications and the IB Diploma. French is a core subject throughout the school and strong links have been made with the local area so that students have a firm understanding and appreciation of the language, history and culture of this part of France.

The campus is located in the town of Colomiers to the west of Toulouse. Toulouse is a beautiful city, full of historical sites, impressive architecture, restaurants, theatres and cinemas. It is a very important university town and as such has a vibrant cultural life. Sporting facilities abound both in the city and in the smaller towns and villages which surround it. The Pyrenees are an hour’s drive away with the ski slopes a popular destination in the winter months. The Mediterranean can be reached in less than two hours as can the Spanish border. There are many direct flights from Toulouse to most major European cities.
