Job overview

We are seeking a flexible and excellent teacher for the first International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school in Kosice, Slovakia to start in the 2020/2021 school year.

Job details:

  • Promote academic excellence and provide a supportive and creative atmosphere to cultivate a life-long love of learning
  • Follow a collaborative and differentiated approach to teaching and learning in and out of the classroom
  • Establish a culture of caring, collaboration and trust
  • Create an efficient, productive and caring atmosphere where all students and faculty have opportunities to be recognised for their best efforts
  • Teach approximately 24 lessons per week in a small class of primary students
  • Provide principled, effective educational leadership within the school
  • Participate in the IB PYP accreditation process
  • Communicate effectively (spoken and written) with students, colleagues, parents, and wider community
  • Be an active participant and supporter of student activity programs and parent events

Candidates will have:

  • C2 English proficiency
  • Nationally recognised teaching qualifications
  • 6 years of international, primary teaching experience

About Kosice International School

Kosice International School (KEIS) is the first international school in Eastern Slovakia. Our school is an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum with a particular focus on technology-enhanced learning. We are a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and are working towards full authorisation. Our programmes include the Early Years  (ages 3-5), primary school (ages 6-11), and middle school (ages 12-16).
