Your new role

We are looking for a creative, reflective and resilient Primary Teacher to work with our exceptional pupils. You will be responsible for all planning, assessment, monitoring and the implementation of the Primary curriculum for all learners, to ensure pupil progress and the delivery of a high quality curriculum, including the National Curriculum suitably differentiated to meet the needs and interests of learners with SEMH difficulties.


Your experience

The appointed candidate will have a good, secure working knowledge of all subject areas within the new primary curriculum. You will hold a degree in a relevant subject and a Nationally recognised Teaching Qualification /or ECT qualification. Experience working with children and young people who have special educational needs is essential. You will have a broad knowledge of strategies used for building and sustaining positive relationships with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and those who have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder.


Your new school

Quorn Hall School is a well established independent therapeutic school for Children and Young People aged 6 - 17 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). Many of the pupils at Quorn Hall School have additional special educational needs and diagnoses such as Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Our culture here at Quorn Hall School is based on Trauma informed attachment awareness by implementing a low arousal approach and using PACE (Playful, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) in our everyday practice.
