About Outwood Primary Academy Greystone

Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

Lead Principal: Mrs Emma Abbott

We are a primary academy, based in the beautiful cathedral city of Ripon, near the UNESCO World Heritage Site encompassing the magnificent Studley Royal Park, including the well-preserved Cistercian Fountains Abbey.

We are passionate about being inclusive and delivering exciting, challenging learning opportunities to the children of the local community. As a result, we use our Pupil Premium allocation to support our more vulnerable students ensuring all children, regardless of ability or need, are fully supported to help them reach and fulfil their potential.

At the centre of everything we do is innovation.

This is why we have introduced the transformational, whole-school primary maths programme, Inspire Maths which is based on the leading Singapore Maths series My Pals Are Here. This initiative aids our pupils development of critical thinking skills, helping them make mathematical connections and become highly numerate.

Similarly, children in years 2 to 6 participate in Accelerated Reader: a computer program that helps teachers manage and monitor pupils’ independent reading practice. Whenever children finish a book, they will answer a series of multiple-choice questions tailored to their level of ability, giving them the impetus to become better and more passionate readers.

We want you to help to take us to the next level.

To help you do that, we work hard to ensure we reduce workload on our colleagues, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of children first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

We will also actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all staff receiving a minimum of two hours’ CPD each week.

We also offer a generous employment package with a whole host of staff benefits, including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, plus a partnership with car leasing company, Synergy, with offers exclusively for Outwood colleagues.

Please note that you are wholly responsible for fact checking in respect of the information provided by schools. Please also check for the latest visa and work permit requirements that may apply. Tes is not responsible for the content of advertisements or the policies adopted by advertising schools. Tes asks that all schools follow Tes' Fair Recruitment Policy.
