At St Wystan’s, every child is recognised and cherished for their individual strengths and characteristics, in an inspiring teaching and learning environment. Small class sizes encourage a thirst for learning where pupils and staff have warm, respectful relationships. The children enjoy going to school and the staff relish having the opportunity to share laughter, adventures and interests. Indeed, each pupil’s individual talents and strengths are recognised and utilised ensuring all achieve their full potential, in a vibrant, busy yet nurturing environment.

St Wystan’s is a thriving non-selective school that prides itself on its reputation for producing happy, confident and successful children. Each individual in our school community is extremely special to us and we continually strive to create a varied and stimulating environment for boys and girls aged 2½ to 11, so they can develop, be happy and flourish. Specialist teaching in Music, Physical Education and French are introduced from Nursery through to Year 6 and we are proud of our strong pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.

Our school was founded in 1926 and is situated in the heart of Repton. St Wystan’s School and Nursery prides itself in providing outstanding holistic education, equipping pupils not only with strong academic standards and behaviour, but also the essential qualities and skills required beyond their time at our school. In September 2020 we were delighted to become part of the Repton School family, giving us the benefits of being part of a larger organisation, whilst allowing us to maintain our individual ethos and identity. We are proud of our strong links with many local secondary Independent and State schools. Our children have an excellent reputation for securing scholarship offers and securing first choice secondary schools at a time in which a child’s true academic potential can be accurately predicted and talents in other areas acknowledged.
