The Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST) is a family of 32 primary schools across Oxfordshire and Berkshire, ranging from small rural infant schools to large city primaries, and including faith and non-faith schools.

We have several exciting teaching opportunities available from September 2018 at Wheatley CE Primary School, and we’re looking for experienced teachers who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the children they teach.

About us: what makes working in an ODST school different?

At the heart of our vision is our belief in educational excellence, and with our roots in the Diocese of Oxford we have a strong, established support framework. Our people are passionate about providing the best educational experience possible, and our schools are places where children develop and thrive intellectually, socially, culturally and spiritually.

ODST supports schools so that school staff can concentrate on continuing to deliver the highest standards of teaching and care to all pupils. We offer a regular programme of CPD for our teachers to upskill and share their knowledge, experience and practice, and local hubs enable school-to-school support. We also provide the working conditions our teachers need to give their best as they serve the pupils in their care.

Don’t just take our word for it though…

‘High quality training, often provided by the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, has helped to improve the quality of teaching’

St Christopher’s, Cowley, Ofsted report Jan 17

‘More recently the Trust have supported the development of your middle leaders’ skills. The trust also offers training for all teachers and governors in an increasing range of subject areas’

St Christopher’s, Langford, Ofsted, Oct 17

About you: who we’re looking for to join the ODST community

  • You’ll be an experienced and confident teacher with extensive skills and knowledge.

  • You’ll be highly competent and can demonstrate helping the children in your care to make progress.

  • You’ll have the energy to inspire, the passion to make a difference, and the drive to do it rapidly.

  • You’ll take pride in having high expectations - of the children you teach, of yourself, of your school, and of ODST.
