Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi-Academy Trust comprising of eight schools: six primaries and two 11 – 16 secondary schools. De Lacy Primary School is a proud member of Pontefract Academies Trust. With around 350 pupils aged 3 – 11, we have a strong ethos of inclusion, taking pride in encouraging all of our children to be confident and independent learners, caring for themselves as well as others around them. We set ourselves very high standards of respect, resilience and achievement. As a team, we are constantly striving to provide our children with the best possible education and opportunities in every way.


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Primary Teacher at De Lacy Primary School on a 12 months fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing outstanding outcomes through outstanding provision, and demonstrating high quality teaching to ensure pupils make accelerated progress. They will also use effective resources and uphold the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.


This role is a 1 FTE, fixed term contract with a start date of September 2023 and end date of August 2024 in the first instance.


We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

 

  • has a passion for helping pupils thrive and meet their full potential.
  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and pupils.
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
  • has experience of working in a similar specialist area.
