In return for your passion and ensuring a dynamic and high-quality education, successful candidates will be employees of Qatar Petroleum.  You will enjoy the full benefits of working for the corporation, including generous tax-free salaries, free accommodation and utilities, interest free car loan, education assistance for up to four children, medical cover, airfares, paid school holidays and access to sporting and leisure facilities.

If you would like to join our team and make a real difference to the education of our children, please apply immediately with a one page letter of application, detailing how you meet the criteria above and a full CV.

Mesaieed International School

Who we are?

Mesaieed International School is a not-for-profit, non-selective community school owned and operated by QatarEnergy. It offers a thriving, happy, and vibrant environment with high aspirations for its students, staff and families.

Our school sits at the heart of a kind and welcoming community, operating across three campuses: Secondary, Primary, and EYFS. Guided by the QatarEnergy Values of Excellence, Integrity, Safety, Collaboration, Responsibility, and Respect, we nurture a culture where every member of our community strives to do their best, act with honesty, care for others, work together, and take pride in contributing positively to both our school and the wider world. These shared values underpin everything we do, from our learning culture and relationships to the way we celebrate achievement and character every day.

Our Vision & Mission

Our vision is for our students to be high-achieving, healthy, and happy individuals who are well prepared to take their place as global citizens and leaders of the future. Our mission is to achieve this through inspirational teaching that places high value on learning, enjoyment, and the well-being of every student. MIS is proud to have achieved the highest level of accreditation from the Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA), demonstrating both the strength of our provision and our commitment to continuous improvement.

Our Students and Our Community

Mesaieed International School is a vibrant, close-knit hub at the heart of the local community, where students and staff live, learn, and grow together. Our learners benefit from rich local, national, and international opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. We are committed to holistic development, offering extensive sports programmes, competitive mathematics challenges, robotics, dance, music, and a proud tradition of success in Olympiads. Arabic and Islamic Studies, alongside home-language provision, reflect our diverse cultural community and support every student’s identity. Student leadership is a defining strength of our school culture, further enhanced by thriving social-enterprise initiatives such as our “Marketeers.” With engaged families and strong partnerships across the community, we create an environment where every student is supported to thrive. We offer regular opportunities for parents to connect and collaborate, from coffee mornings and social events to student-led conferences and information sessions focused on learning, wellbeing, and current issues. By working closely together, we ensure families feel informed, involved, and empowered to support their child’s success.

Our Curriculum

As a through-school, we deliver the National Curriculum for England, IGCSEs, and A Levels / BTECs to over 1,200 students aged 3 to 19, representing more than 30 different nationalities. We support the philosophy that education extends beyond the classroom, offering a varied and exciting range of extracurricular activities for our students.

Our Outcomes

Our students benefit from a culture of high expectations and strong pastoral support, reflected in excellent academic outcomes. Student attainment across primary far exceeds UK national averages. End of KS2 outcomes in the 2024 – 2025 academic year saw 82% of students achieve ARE in reading, 84% achieve ARE in writing, and 82% achieve ARE in mathematics.

In 2024 to 2025, 54% of IGCSE grades were 9 to 7 (86% at 9 to 4), with exceptional value-added progress of +1.0 at GCSE and +0.3 at A Level. Our A Level results exceeded UK national averages, showcasing the impact of an ambitious curriculum, expert teaching, and assessment practices that help every learner exceed their potential.

Our Staff

We are committed to nurturing a culture of excellence in which both students and staff can flourish and strive to be the very best they can. A dedication to refining our teaching craft sits at the heart of our work at MIS, alongside our commitment to developing a world-class curriculum that is rigorous, ambitious, and rooted in deep subject expertise. We are passionate about growth, improving through thoughtful reflection, deliberate practice, and shared professional learning, and we believe strongly in the power of teamwork, knowing that we achieve far more together than alone. Teachers at MIS are committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining exceptional classroom practice; all staff play an active role in our busy pastoral system; and consistently high standards of student progress and attainment are expected. In addition, every colleague contributes to our co-curricular programme. For these reasons, MIS is a truly special place to work. The rewards are considerable: motivated, respectful, and eager to learn students, and opportunities to develop professional expertise through high-quality CPD.

Our Facilities

We operate across three dedicated campuses: a purpose-built EYFS setting for children aged 3 to 5, a Primary campus for ages 5 to 11, and a Secondary campus for students aged 11 to 19. Completed between 2008 and 2010, our campuses continue to provide high-quality learning environments that are spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to support both academic excellence and personal growth.

Across the school, students benefit from an impressive range of facilities, including two 25-metre swimming pools, Astro pitches, 200-metre running tracks, and large sports halls that promote active, healthy lifestyles. Our well-resourced libraries, fully equipped ICT suites, art, science, and technology laboratories, and music rooms with soundproof practice spaces all provide inspiring environments for creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

Every classroom is generously sized and equipped with interactive whiteboards, ensuring technology-enhanced teaching and learning. From the food technology room in Primary to the specialist facilities in Secondary, our school buildings continue to reflect our commitment to providing students with safe, stimulating, and engaging spaces in which to learn and thrive.

The Future of MIS

Mesaieed International School is a forward-thinking school with exceptional young people. This is an exciting time to join the school, as we continue to develop a high-performing and collaborative culture rooted in academic excellence and equity. We have recently embarked on a whole school improvement journey, guided by our Framework for Excellence, and we warmly invite motivated professionals to help shape our future as we strive to become amongst the very best schools in the world.
