We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher, preferably with Key Stage 2 experience, to join our team from January 2026.
The Role
As a Primary Teacher at Newton, you will deliver high quality learning experiences aligned with the British National Curriculum, while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and well planned lessons in line with the British National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 or 2, with Key Stage 2 experience preferred.
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
3. Monitor, assess, and track student progress and provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents.
4. Contribute to curriculum planning, school activities, and collaborative team initiatives.
5. Support students’ social and emotional development through effective pastoral care.
6. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
Requirements
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject such as English, Mathematics, or Science.
2. A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, B Ed, QTS, or an equivalent qualification.
3. A minimum of three years full time teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
4. Strong preference for Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
5. Native English speaker with strong classroom management, planning, and communication skills.
6. A student centred and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
7. Ability to adapt confidently to a multicultural and dynamic school environment.
8. A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
