Rowanfield School is a high quality, fit for purpose Primary School situated in the North of Edinburgh. It provides a multi-agency service for children with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. The School provides children with a warm, caring, structured and stimulating learning environment in which these needs can be met. Courage, Curiosity, Compassion and Creativity are the core values that underpin our decisions, planning and actions.

Experience of working in an educational environment with children with social, emotional and behavioural needs is essential and training in CALM or other similar de-escalation training would be desirable.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

The advertised salary will increase by 3% on 1st April 2020
