Primary Teacher

Alabuga International School is a new school in an up and coming area in The Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.

We are looking to appoint Class Teachers who will also take on subject coordinator roles. We wish to recruit candidates who enjoy being part of a fast moving, developing project and who want to help us achieve our mission. The school is in its second year of operation, we have excellent facilities at our school, a fantastic swimming pool, a gym and lovely, bright classrooms. There has also been great work done on our outside space, we have a fantastic forest area which teachers are encouraged to use during their teaching, a football pitch and separate basketball and tennis courts. The ideal candidate will also help our school become an authorized IBPYP school.

Role description:

• Plan collaboratively with a range of colleagues, for student learning;
• Plan engaging units of inquiry, to be explored in depth;
• Use assessment to drive the planning process;
• Use a range and balance of teaching strategies;
• Use a variety of resources to activate multiple perspectives;
• Involve students in their own learning;
• Deliver the curriculum relevant to the age and subject;
• Be able to provide demonstrable evidence of the positive impact of teaching upon learning;
• Use technology to enhance learning;
• Deliver the school’s agreed syllabus and schemes of work;
• Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for students and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, following the school’s behaviour guidelines.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:

•  B.Ed, TC, PGCE, PGDE or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
• 2 years teaching experience
• IB training essential
• Knowledge and skills in ICT
