Summary

Sara Village School (SVS) accepts pupils from Reception to Year 6 (4 – 11 years). The school is a member of the International Schools Group of Saudi Arabia and follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

This is an exciting new teaching position at Sara Village School to provide support in the primary classrooms throughout the school as part of our excellent educational programme. The post would initially involve covering classes whilst teachers undertake quality CPD in and out of Kingdom, enable us to facilitate our vision to provide teacher training opportunities at Sara Village School and support us in offering more field trip opportunities for the children. This post also forms part of  quality succession planning to prepare for staff leaving Kingdom due to retirement.

 

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum for students with learning support needs
  • Demonstrate creativity
  • Deliver an active, hands-on and child-centred programme to promote learning
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times
  • Observe, monitor and record student progress
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual need and ability within a class
  • Be fluent in English, oral and written
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher

 

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Prior experience as a Primary Teacher in the UK
  • Certification as a teacher
  • Experience with MS Office/Excel/Google docs
  • Good command of English, both written and oral

 

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience
  • Implementing the National Curriculum for England and Wales in a Primary School
  • An interest in PE
  • Experience of working in an international setting

Sara Village School is a British-style primary school teaching the National Curriculum of England for children aged four (Reception) to 11 years (Year 6), and serving employees of BAE Systems, the M.O.D. and most recently, any other residents of Sara Village Compound who work for other companies. With a unique approach, a commitment to educational excellence and a strong partnership with parents, our dedicated staff ensures that students experience 21st-century learning in a safe, positive and nurturing environment. We have small classes, consisting of Foundation 2 (Reception class) and Key Stage 1 and 2, with just one class per year group, each of which has its own classroom and several specialist areas allowing plenty of space. Being a small school, everyone knows everyone else and the feeling here is very much one of family.
