Pay rate is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this Primary Teacher (SEND) position are: QTS (Primary or SEND) and teaching experience we can reference within the past 2 years (please call our team in Huddersfield for more information)

The role for this Primary Teacher (SEND) job:

We are currently recruiting for teaching staff to join our SEND supply team working with children with a range of needs in schools local to you on a full or part-time basis.

We have regular openings in specialist SEND environments and Special Educational Needs classes.

Experience working with SEND, Learning Difficulties, Autism, SEMH, VI, HI, Complex Needs are desirable but not always essential.  You may feel drawn to this work and simply interested to transfer to working within smaller settings where individualised learning, behaviour and support plans, 1:1 working, specialised support and learning outside of the classroom are the norm.

We can provide you with an introduction to SEND and assistance in how best to transfer your skills.  We will assess the environments best suited to you and your existing skillset.

Working in SEND schools you will work with smaller groups of children with a higher ratio of staff to children and additional teaching assistants.

You will have access to Free SEND training, including Team Teach, the SEND code of practice, Adverse Childhood Experiences, ASC.

Requirements for this Primary Teacher (SEND) role:

Strong classroom management skills

QTS 

Previous 2 years work history and references
