Students aged three to 18 attend the school and follow the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum. Year 12 and 13 students take A-levels and gain accreditation for the Spanish Baccalaureate and can also choose to follow a Higher National Diploma (HND) route, providing vocational pathways.

REQUIREMENTS

• A first degree in or a relevant degree.

• A P.G.C.E. or equivalent Teacher Education qualification.

• Proficient level of English (Mother tongue/C2)

• A clear philosophy on student achievement.

• An ability to challenge all students to achieve excellent progress, appropriate to their needs.

• An ability to contribute meaningfully to the pastoral welfare of students in your care.

• An up to date knowledge of current educational developments.


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To be an outstanding Primary educator, with a growth mind-set and a strong desire to grow professionally. To lead learning and inspire students and teachers to be passionate, curious, excited learners with your classroom environment. Work in line with the school improvement / development planning priorities of the school development plan. To carry out professional duties of a classroom teacher focusing upon raising standards of learning and teaching and driving standards within your subject. To ensure health and safety always comes first and all school and Globeducate policies are upheld. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet varying learning and social needs of students.

• Carry out the duties of a teacher and be responsible for the work of any adults who work in the classroom relevant to his/her responsibilities.

 • Plan for learning that engages, involves, and challenges students whilst ensuring a high level of interest and enjoyment, ensuring that progress is made each lesson.

 • Plan effectively to meet the needs of all students (including students Special Educational Needs) and plan appropriate interventions to support progress.

 • Set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for students learning, reviewing, and adapting teaching as necessary.

 • Provide a stimulating classroom environment, where all students can access resources appropriately.

 • Keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into planning in line with the school’s Assessment for Learning policy.

• Meet data collection deadlines on Engage with accurate information, including professional comments where required, that can be reported to parents on the development, progress, and attainment of students.

 • Follow department policies on curriculum, planning, assessment, student feedback, referral, behaviour, equipment, resources, and any other necessary policies.

• Maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy, both inside and outside classroom and department

• Regularly communicate with parents to inform them of positive feedback and concerns in a professional and polite manner.  

• Participate fully in meetings, which relate to the school’s management, curriculum, administration, or organisation.

• Actively engage in the school performance review system.

• Contribute to school development and support school priorities. 

• To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to the school Designated Safeguarding Lead through My Concern.

• Safety and wellbeing of students in their care.

• Permanent Contract for a Y4 teacher / Interim Contract for a Y5 teacher

For over thirty-five years, Cambridge House has offered an excellent education to Spanish and international students. Our aim is to create a stimulating, warm, caring “home” environment, and we aim to ensure that all our students develop their full potential regardless of their natural ability. The majority of our students start at Cambridge House at the age of three.

There are waiting lists for entry at all levels of Primary and Secondary, and students wishing to join our school after Early Years are assessed to ensure that the school is suitable for the student.

We aim to equip students leaving Cambridge House at the end of their studies with the necessary qualifications to have the best possible choices. The school follows the English educational system, giving our students the possibility of studying at universities in the UK, Spain or elsewhere. In Years 12 and 13 we offer a wide range of courses, including five languages, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (pure and applied), Biology, Technical Drawing, Social Sciences, History, History of Art, Geography, Literature, ICT studies, Economics and Business Studies.
