Founded in 1971 and opened as a family-oriented British School, it was one of the first of its kind in Madrid. Today the school has grown to over 1300 students and is based on six sites in central Madrid.

Hastings School follows the National Curriculum for England. In Primary we follow a creative, topic-based curriculum and at Secondary level, students prepare for IGCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examinations. Students go to a range of global universities, but the UK and Spain are the most popular destinations.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and is excited to join one of the best international schools in an amazing city in Spain. Hastings School is a co-educational independent British school in Madrid for pupils aged 2 to 18. Part of Cognita, one of the world’s largest families of schools, Hastings School fosters academic and co-curricular excellence alongside a truly international outlook in all of its pupils. Based on five sites in the heart of Madrid, the School has almost 1000 pupils, with 60 percent from the local community and the remaining 40 percent from 40 different nationalities. The School follows the National Curriculum for England teaching in English, with students also learning the Spanish language and culture.
