Key Responsibilities
Planning and Teaching
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the English National Curriculum
Develop schemes of work and teaching materials that promote curiosity and a love of learning
Assessment and Reporting
Assess, monitor, and record student progress
Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
Classroom Management
Create a positive, well-organised, and safe learning environment
Maintain and develop classroom displays and learning resources
Student Support
Support the academic, social, emotional, and pastoral development of all pupils
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students, including those with SEN
Collaboration
Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and external professionals
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture
Professional Development
Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
Stay up to date with current best practices in education
Additional Responsibilities
Undertake supervisory duties as part of the school’s daily routines
Provide flexibility and support within Early Years when required
Requirements
Experience teaching in Primary education
A relevant undergraduate degree
A recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE)
Native-level English proficiency
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment

St. Anne's School was established in 1969 and is a co-educational independent school which provides a British education for children aged three to eighteen in Madrid. The school is based in one of the most attractive and prestigious residential areas of Madrid. The school is located in Avenida Alfonso XIII and serves pupils from Nursery (Age 3) to Year 11 (Age 15) and the older pupils studying in "Bachillerato".

There are currently five hundred pupils on role in St. Anne’s School, most of whom are Spanish, but we also have children from many European countries and from North and South America.
The School provides a broad balanced curriculum based on the requirements of the British National Curriculum. In addition, as is required in International Schools, full attention and respect is given to the learning of the Spanish Language and Literature, Spanish Social Studies, traditions and culture, which is the essential heritage of the vast majority of our pupils.
We welcome students of all religious denominations and pupils receive weekly classes in religious and moral education at all levels. The Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Care also offers preparation for the pupils’ First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
St. Anne’s School is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain ( NABSS) and is inspected by this body as well as by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
