The School

The Posts

Primary Teachers

  • We are looking for outstanding teachers to join this school in what will be the fifth year of the school’s operation.
  • To be considered for these positions you will be a qualified Primary teacher ideally with experience of teaching the National Curriculum for England
  • We are especially interested in applicants with experience of Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Additional stipends may be offered for teachers willing to take a lead in co-ordinating other aspects of provision. For example, leading in Early Years.
  • Applications from single teachers or teaching couples are welcomed
  • International teaching experience may be an advantage, but not essential.

About GEMS Cambridge International School - Kampala

 GEMS Cambridge International School is a private school in Kampala, Uganda. Kampala is Uganda’s capital and largest city, historically built upon seven hills. The school campus is located in the comfortable surrounds of Butabika, next to the Royal Palms Estate.The school runs operate a fleet of secure school buses in Kampala and Entebbe. This is a British curriculum school, teaching the National Curriculum to early years pupils, through Key Stage 1, 2, 3 & 4, up to iGCSE level, AS Level, A Level and BTEC level.

In 2015 the first the first fully kitted LEGO Education Innovation School was opened here, and the school is equipped with interactive whiteboards,laptops and ICT learning bays. Sporting facilities include a 25 metre swimming pool with shading for visitors during swimming festivals, a large floodlit football pitch both for school and community use, and a small golf ‘pitch and putt’ area. The Boarding Facility provides a provision for up to 150 students. 

GEMS education facilities operate over 250 schools in 13 countries, teaching six international curricula.
