About Nord Anglia Education

Nord Anglia Education is the world’s leading premium schools organisation, with campuses located across 27 countries in the Americas, Europe, China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Together, our 56 schools educate more than 51,000 students from kindergarten through to the end of secondary / high school. We are driven by one unifying philosophy: we are ambitious for our schools, students, teachers, staff and communities, and we inspire every child who attends a Nord Anglia Education school to achieve more than they ever imagined possible.

About your school

Founded in 2001, British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park (official name) is a top tier private school for children ages 2 to 11 located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. BISC Lincoln Park (abbreviated name) is the only premium, international private school in Chicago that focuses on the developmental years between Pre-Nursery to Grade 5 (ages 2 to 11). BISC Lincoln Park instills a values-based education and thematic curriculum at an early age, so our young students will not only thrive from a personalized learning experience, but also gain the social, academic, and global skills needed to succeed as the ambitious and well prepared innovators of tomorrow.

The school’s mission is to provide an ever-evolving experience for ever-evolving learners. Our core values include respect, thoughtfulness, cooperation, communication, adaptability, curiosity, resilience and morality.

Located in Lincoln Park, one of the most well-known neighborhoods in the heart of Chicago, our campus is steps away from internationally renowned theaters, museums, outdoor parks, hiking & biking trails, and 40 kilometers of public beaches. Our highly supportive parents choose the Lincoln Park campus not only because of its safe, family-friendly setting that’s within walking distance from their homes, but also they can also engage fully in the life of the school as well as their children’s education.

BISC Lincoln Park is part of Hong Kong-based Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s largest premium schools organization with over 50,000 students between the ages of 2 to 18-years old in 56 international schools, boarding schools, and private schools in 25 countries around the world. BISC Lincoln Park was NAE’s first international school to open and operate in the Midwest. BISC Lincoln Park is accredited through the International Early Years Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum and the Council of International Schools. It is the recipient of a 2018 British International School award for creativity in the classroom and two silver dolphins at the Cannes Film Festival.

About British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park

The British School of Chicago follows the British system of education and has an individualised approach and programme. Although we have a general expectation of what a child will achieve in a year, each child works to achieve his or her maximum potential. Instead of the term pre-school, kindergarten, grades 1-8 and high school the British School of Chicago uses Foundation and Key Stages 1-5 to cover the different age groups.

Foundation - covers the area of Nursery and Reception (Pre-school and Junior)
Key Stage 1 - covers Years 1 & 2 (Kindergarten and Grade 1)
Key Stage 2 - covers Years 3 - 6 (Grades 2 - 5)
Key Stage 3 - covers Years 7 - 9 (Grades 6 - 8)
Key Stage 4 - covers Years 10 - 11 (Grades 9 and 10)
Key Stage 5 - covers Years 12 - 13 (Grades 11 and 12)
