A highly motivated primary teacher to lead two year groups in Reception and Year 1 of a two form entry exciting forward looking school. A TLR2B management allowance is available for candidates who have demonstrated leadership of Reception & Year 1 in a primary school and can show that they have the potential to take an enthusiastic and exciting lead in Essendine Primary. A role of this seniority also has a curriculum area or school focus area attached to the role dependent upon the experience of the person appointed and the needs of the school.
An advantage could be to have:
- At least three years recent and relevant teaching experience in Reception or Year 1 The successful candidates will essentially:-
- Have at least five years teaching experience
- Have a full understanding and experience of the EYFS curriculum
- Have ability to demonstrate they can engage and inspire pupils
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner and be able to demonstrate this
- Be able to show experience of leading and managing teams of staff
- Be talented and enthusiastic about teaching and leadership
- Have high expectations with the ability & drive to raise standards and provide evidence of this
- Have a flexible approach and understanding of current teaching and assessment methods In return we offer:

Essendine Primary School is a mixed state-maintained primary school in Maida Vale.
In September 2022, Essendine Primary School federated with Hallfield Primary School to form the North Westminster Federation.
