Job overview

West Kirby School and College specialises in providing education and residential provision for boys and girls with complex educational needs. There are currently over 75 pupils on roll aged 5-19. The school is located in an outstanding area of natural beauty on the Wirral peninsula.

You will:  

  • be an outstanding Primary practitioner
  • be committed to working with children with SEN
  • have experience of work with Year 6 (desirable)
  •  successfully deliver SPAG
  • have knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and dealing with challenging behaviour
  • have a passion for developing children and children’s learning
  • have had involvement in recording, developing, analysing and tracking pupil progress 
  • work on partnerships with external agencies and schools
  • be committed to working within a team promoting exciting and creative learning.
