Located in scenic Nantwich in East Cheshire, it has 330 hectares of excellent facilities serving curriculum areas such as Agriculture and Precision Farming, Land-based Technology, Food Processing, Engineering, Animal Management, Horticulture, Sport, Motor Vehicle, and Higher Education.  The College prides itself as one of the best specialist technical institutions in England, working closely with industry partners to deliver outstanding education and skills to students planning to work within the land-based and associated sectors in the UK. The College turns over £32m per annum and has c6,000 learners, 900 of whom live on the site during term time. Provision ranges from Entry Level onwards, with the vast majority from Level 3 – Level 6 and includes Apprenticeships.

The College is financially strong and has achieved good and outstanding Ofsted reports alongside very strong higher education Quality Assurance Agency outcomes.  An important part of Reaseheath’s provision is Higher Education and its highly successful partnership with the University of Chester has seen the College achieve University Centre status. In addition, state of the art facilities ensure the students are well trained and, as a result, are sought out by employers as they embark on their careers.

The College is seeking a Principal and Chief Executive as the incumbent, Meredydd David, is leaving after fourteen highly successful years in post.  The new Principal and Chief Executive will take full strategic and operational day-to-day responsibility for the College and for the development and implementation of the business strategy. Providing inspirational leadership and direction, he/she will build on the strong executive team to ensure the business continues to grow and evolve. Reaseheath College is committed to offering a careers focused education to students and the Principal and Chief Executive plays a pivotal role across educational and business development strands, working with industry partners, government agencies, local authorities, the LEP and sectoral stakeholders such as Landex.

The new Principal and Chief Executive will, ideally, bring an understanding of the education sector as well as a passion for driving excellent outcomes for students, helping them to develop the skills to shape their own futures. He/she will lead and inspire the staff group and their passion and enthusiasm for the College will be evident in their day-to-day communications and visible presence across the campus. A natural communicator, they will set a culture of openness and transparency as well as promoting a spirit of entrepreneurism.

Reaseheath is a remarkable college – dynamic, vibrant and enterprising and this role presents a rare and exciting opportunity to lead it. If you feel you would like to learn more, we would be pleased to hear from you.
