This represents a fresh start for an academy that is currently judged to require improvement by Ofsted and is in real need of expert direction and leadership to deliver the quality of education its students deserve.

  • Demonstrate the inspirational leadership and management skills necessary to guide the school community through a time of complex change and continuing challenge
  • Set high standards and expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Inspire, motivate and empower teams and individuals to achieve
  • Work with parents and other stakeholders to build the school’s standing within the local community

The sponsors are looking to appoint someone determined and focused who can transform the academy into a high-achieving learning community. You may currently be an experienced Headteacher/ Principal or a Deputy/Vice Principal looking for your first headship and keen to gain experience of raising standards in a demanding setting. You certainly possess the ambition, skills and experience necessary to lead an academy that offers real and immediate challenge and longer term reward in equal measure. You are drawn to the opportunity to really make your mark by working with a sponsor committed to addressing the issues that face the academy and developing sustainable strategies for its rapid improvement and longer term success. An inspirational leader with the ability to engage with and motivate staff, learners and parents alike, you have a track record of embedding real improvement and a real understanding of what effective teaching and learning look like. An effective communicator, you have an empathetic approach to people, are committed to continuous improvement and have the ability to build effective relationships in the wider community.

In return for your energy, integrity and enthusiasm, we offer a challenging yet rewarding role with an opportunity to make a real impact. As a member of our network, we can offer you a professional learning journey, tailored to your individual needs. We’ll support you with a comprehensive career development programme, as well as an attractive range of financial, health and well-being benefits.
