Salary: £70,349 - £92,099 dependent upon experience

The Principal is to take strategic responsibility for developing an outstanding all- through school with a distinctive Christian ethos. The ideal candidate will provide effective, dynamic and inspirational leadership to the school to ensure that every student achieves at their highest level and will effectively lead and manage the School, ensuring a love of learning and the achievement of excellent educational standards, providing strategic direction and resource management, and promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils and staff. 

We are looking for someone who:  

• Will promote a Christian ethos throughout the school. 

• Promote a culture of encouragement, support and challenge in which each student can achieve the highest possible educational standards and realise their full potential. 

• Work with the Governors and the staff to implement the vision for the school. 

• Ensure this vision is clearly and effectively articulated, shared and understood by staff, students, parents and the wider community. 

• Translate this vision into agreed objectives and operational plans which will promote and sustain the continued improvement of the school. 

• Promote creativity, innovation and the use of appropriate new technologies to achieve excellence.   

King Solomon is a new free school which opened in September 2015 in central Birmingham, with two year groups i.e. Reception and Year7 at full capacity.  This new academic year, this very popular school welcomed another cohort of Reception and Year 7’s.  The school, with its three form entry, plans to grow organically until it reaches full capacity in 2021.   

Our vision is to achieve academic excellence, develop students with exemplary character, develop students with the skills to be able to live, work and trade in the global economy and ensure all students succeed.  

It is our goal at King Solomon that all pupils have the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually, culturally and aesthetically.  As such, King Solomon is rooted in the Christian tradition, and is therefore committed to providing an education that seeks to build character and enable students to develop as whole, rounded and spiritual human beings.    

The closing date for this post is Thursday 16th March 2017 at 12.00 noon.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an initial interview week commencing 20th March 2017.

King Solomon International Business School is an all-through Christian Faith school in Birmingham for students aged 3-16. 

Having embarked on a new chapter and forward, exciting journey with Falcon Education Academies Trust (Falcon), the official sponsor to the school from 1st April 2022.
