Required for 1st January 2018, subject to completion of pre-employment and safeguarding checks, the appointment is offered on a full-time, permanent contract.

The Governors and students are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and inspirational Principal with a proven track record in senior leadership to further develop this ambitious 3-16 learning community located in Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent. The Community caters for 1500 learners situated across one secondary and four primary campuses located within close proximity.

Governors wish to appoint a lead professional for the Learning Community who will:

  • build on the existing progress made across the community during the first year, taking forward urgent transformational change;
  • continue the drive for excellence in learning, teaching and standards;
  • lead, inspire and motivate students learners and staff;
  • foster an inclusive ethos in which every child is valued and supported to achieve; and
  • maintain and increase the confidence of parents, stakeholders and the wider community.
