The Principal will oversee The King’s School, Canterbury’s second international school and its delivery of all-round excellence in education from Early Years through to entrance to the top universities in the world.
The King’s School, Canterbury anchors a 21st Century education within the illustrious history of the oldest school in the country, dating from 597 AD. The exemplary educational model has been carefully followed in Vattanacville and will be shaped to meet local needs.
The King’s School, Vattanacville, has world-class facilities for 1494 pupils and is located in the heart of Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. Vattanacville itself fuses the cosmopolitan aspects of Cambodian urban life with the luxury of breathing room found in suburban living.
The Principal will prove a strong strategist whose vision, inspiration, leadership, and management will be fundamental in creating a climate which enables every member of the school community to flourish. The successful candidate will currently be an existing or aspiring Head and is expected to promote the ethos and philosophy of the school and the vision and values set out by The King’s School, Canterbury, UK.
The Principal will:
- have an exemplary leadership record with a collaborative approach to leadership that engenders trust, manages effectively, delegates skilfully, and empowers all colleagues to show initiative and give of their very best,
- be a broad-minded educationalist who is keen to keep abreast of curriculum development and co- curricular programmes to ensure a breadth of education and opportunity for pupils at The King’s School, Vattanacville, where a culture of learning, is at the heart,
- have commercial experience or a strong understanding of commercial imperatives,
- be a confident and impressive communicator, and
- be able to thrive in the special environment of modern Cambodia.
The post is for April or August 2024 and commands a comprehensive package.
