UKAT is an exciting new Multi Academy Trust (MAT), building on the successful sponsorship of Brompton Academy, by the University of Kent. Chatham Grammar School for Girls (CGSG) will be joining the Trust on the 1st June 2017. UKAT are therefore looking to appoint an inspirational, passionate and innovative leader who will drive the academy to outstanding status, securing excellent teaching and learning, ensuring all students have high aspirations, healthy minds, achieve excellent outcomes, and are inspired and motivated to be leaders of our future society, working in a range of professions and careers.

The new Principal will be able to draw on the significant resources, facilities and networks available through University sponsorship, and through working in partnership with its sister school, Brompton Academy.

The newly appointed Principal will be supported by the guidance and leadership of the Executive Principal of UKAT, and will be afforded the opportunity to be a pivotal part of developing the strategic vision of the new MAT. This post offers a great opportunity for those wishing to develop their career and skills towards executive headship or CEO status.

The postholder will require the ability to think strategically, effectively lead and manage successful change, and develop new, diverse, cultural perspectives. Candidates should be able to evidence a range of high-level skills, including the ability to analysis data from a range of sources and implement data-informed change, to build successful teams, have political awareness of the educational context, and be able to collaborate across a range of sectors and audiences. We are looking for a leader who can evidence a track record of driving forward school improvements, and who possesses excellent interpersonal skills with emotional intelligence.
