Copley Academy is a popular and improving school seeking to appoint a committed, hardworking principal who can live our GREAT values and lead the great work already taking place to develop the school. We are a small secondary school with a supportive staff group who are committed to our improvement journey. Leaders and colleagues are determined to regain 'Good' and thereafter become the outstanding school that we believe Copley Academy can be.

This is a really exciting role and opportunity to work within Great Academies Education Trust with great colleagues, great support and great students. You will be supported at every step by the GAET Chief Executive Officer, a knowledgeable and experienced Governing Board, a committed senior leadership team and the Trust improvement and support team (GIST) .This is truly going to be a GREAT team effort!

Our new principal should have experience at a senior leadership level, a proven track record of managing change within a school and solid experience of school improvement planning and evaluation that leads to impact.

Being the 'standard bearer' of the vision and values of Copley Academy as part of Great Academies Education Trust 

Being able to create a culture of constant improvement, implementing effective systems and securing high levels of professional standards so that we attain excellence for all in every aspect of the school's provision
