Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is operated in partnership with Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi. Aldar Education both owns and manages schools in Abu Dhabi and other Emirates and offers a range of options for all learners, from nursery through to adult education, offering the broadest choices of curriculum and the largest number of locations in Abu Dhabi. Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is the premium plus school for Aldar Education. The Principal will report to Aldar Education’s Director of Education.

This Principalship will require a highly experienced, dynamic and diplomatic school leader who is able to lead Cranleigh Abu Dhabi as it enters the next phase of its development.

The new Principal will build on the significant achievements of Mike Wilson’s extremely successful tenure. The Principal will be committed to retaining the school’s Outstanding rating and its position as one of the best-regarded schools in Abu Dhabi but will also be able to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in both education provision and commercial operations. The successful candidate will possess gravitas, experience, resilience and a commitment to maintaining excellent relationships with the two partners, with parents, many of whom are influential in the UAE, and with the wider school community. The Principal must be prepared to be inward and outward facing in equal measure to understand the respective expectations of Aldar and Cranleigh. They require the leadership experience to maintain the highest standards of teaching and learning and the systems and structures required to sustain Cranleigh Abu Dhabi’s excellent reputation.
