Could you be Filey Academy’s new Principal? We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Principal to join us from September 2026.
We’re keen to appoint a dedicated and established Principal to lead our Academy into the new academic year. Having recently joined Delta Academies Trust in September 2025, this presents an exciting opportunity for you to have a key role and impact in a period of positive change and transformation!
As Principal, you will provide exceptional leadership and clear strategic direction to the academy. You will champion excellent teaching and learning, foster a culture of high expectations for every student, and play a pivotal role in developing and inspiring a world‑class workforce. Working collaboratively, you will build strong partnerships across other academies and with the wider education community, helping to shape outstanding outcomes now and for the future.

Next Steps
Applications are due to close on 28 January 2026. Following shortlisting, we will hold first stage interviews at Filey Academy on 2 February 2026, with final interviews at Education House, Knottingley on 6 February 2026.
In accordance with DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search will be completed on all shortlisted applicants prior to interview. Any relevant information will be discussed further with the applicant during the recruitment process.
