Chobham Academy is an all-though 3-18 academy located in East Village, Newham. The academy is a world class educational legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, comprising a three-form entry Primary school and a six-form entry Secondary school, both of which are oversubscribed and full with a total of 1,800 pupils. The academy serves an established community of 2,800 new homes, comprising both social housing and private owner occupied accommodation. Pupils come from the East Village as well as Newham and Waltham Forest and are fully representative of the community in East London. Awarded 'Outstanding in all areas' by OfSTED in June 2015, we are very proud of our achievements and continue to strive to be better than outstanding.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational Principal for our vibrant and highly successful secondary academy. This is a unique opportunity to lead an outstanding school with an exceptional team of talented staff in a stunning teaching and learning environment.

This is a chance for an experienced and ambitious leader looking either to extend their experience of Headship, or to start their first Principalship in a highly supportive and rewarding environment. For first time Principals, we can provide support in the form of individual mentoring from an experienced Harris Principal; for existing Headteachers, we offer strong opportunities to progress to Executive Principalship in the future.

We look for successful leaders with a strong record of school improvement and an ability to lead staff and the community towards the achievement of clear and inspirational goals.
