Canons High School is a culturally diverse, inclusive secondary and sixth-form academy in Harrow. It is a vibrant and exciting place to work, with a strong financial track record and an excellent record of developing staff. We are seeking an inspirational leader, with a fresh outlook, to join a dedicated team to lead Canons to ‘outstanding’. The school has been inspected in January 2023 and we are eagerly awaiting the publication of the report.

We are looking for a strategic, creative and visionary leader who offers:

• Exceptional leadership by leading from the front and being visible to staff and students at all levels.
• Strong track record of excellence in teaching and learning and will continue to drive the development of high standards and improved educational outcomes.
• A clear understanding of the unique challenges of our school community, offering a responsive, highly engaging, and impactful education that is rich, broad, and balanced - enabling every child to thrive and reach their full potential
• Extensive experience in safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting positive health and well-being of all students and staff.
• Results-driven approach to tackling behaviour and attendance, including implementing innovative strategies to reduce permanent exclusions
• Has experience of effective change management and excellent organisational ability
• Will work with an active and supportive governing body to set and implement the strategic direction for the academy
