Job overview

Since its opening in September 2009, The Bushey Academy has relentlessly aimed to drive up standards, improve the life chances of its students and become an outstanding academy.

Today, The Bushey Academy is a high-achieving, learning-focused community where happiness is derived from achievement and positive self-esteem.

Benefiting from the double award winning £30m school building, students and staff bring life to the school vision statement through their approach to learning, both in and out of the classroom.  Now heavily oversubscribed for places, The Bushey Academy is a place within which students and staff feel proud to belong.

The Bushey Academy now seeks a dynamic, ambitious and innovative Principal to help realise its ambition of becoming an outstanding academy.  With a deep commitment to raising aspiration and standards across the school community, this will be a forward-looking educational leader for the 21st Century, determined to make a difference.

The Bushey Academy is a member of The Meller Educational Trust (MET).  MET is a growing multi-academy trust which aims to ensure that young people are educated to an extremely high level and possess all of the skills necessary to ensure they are happy, fulfilled, socially aware, community minded and successful.
