  • Currently a successful Deputy Headteacher or experienced Headteacher

  • An analytical approach to identifying key issues for improvement
  • Experience of managing and leading staff through large-scale change

St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Centre for Learning (VA) is a co-educational voluntary aided school based in Liverpool for students aged 11-16. It is a Roman Catholic school.

St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Centre for Learning (VA) has affirmed that it aims to provide its students a high-quality education, which draws its distinctive character from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as well as Catholic traditions. 

The school intends to create a supportive and challenging learning environment for its students. There is a continual emphasis on tailoring the school curriculum to suit individual needs whilst at the same time being beneficial for all students.

The school also encourages participation in extra-curricular activities. Both girls and boys take part in competitive sports such as football and netball and the school’s gardening club has received much praise, winning awards at events.

“The achievement of students is improving and in some subjects, such as English, students are making good progress and attaining well. The school’s pastoral support for students is very strong, and students are particularly knowledgeable about safety. Governors are well informed and have high expectations and ambition for the school, which is improving. They are receiving good quality support from the local authority and external consultants, which is having a positive impact.”
