Evelyn Grace Academy is a mixed, non-selective secondary school in Brixton, Lambeth. The Academy opened in 2008 and moved into its award-winning building on Shakespeare Road in 2010.  Since joining the Ark network, EGA staff have worked hard to create an inclusive and caring learning environment in which every student can strive to reach their true potential and work tirelessly to nurture students’ talents by helping them to develop six key qualities: Resilience, Responsibility, Integrity, Curiosity, Confidence and Eloquence.

The road ahead will be challenging. To be successful in this role you will be utterly relentless in your pursuit of excellence; you’ll have a real grasp on what systems and structures need to be in place to underpin sustainable school improvement. You’ll know exactly what is needed to accelerate progress because you’ll have considerable experience of consistently driving results and delivering whole school improvements. Alongside this you’ll need a natural flair for building high performing teams through coaching, reflection, challenge and support – respecting what works well but continually striving to grow and improve.
 
Like us, you’ll want EGA to be the obvious school of choice in the locality but more than that, you’ll be passionate about establishing EGA as a beacon of excellence in the community. We need a leader who will act as an influential advocate to drive student numbers and strengthen our profile with parents and carers, local schools, stakeholders and the entire diverse community we are so privileged to serve.
