Salary: L29 to L35 (£93,898 to £108,774)
A rare opportunity to join one of the most respected and high performing trusts in the country.
The GORSE Academies Trust is renowned for its work in transforming the life chances of children and young people from some of the most disadvantaged communities in the country. Based in the Leeds city region with 17 trust establishments including Leeds Teaching School Hub and GORSE SCITT, the trust has formed a model of excellence which is receiving national attention because of its positive impact on all pupils including large numbers from very poor white communities. The trust has grown slowly and with great care since it was formed in 2011 and it is still the case that our schools work together in an intimate and highly productive manner.
Morley Newlands Academy is a heavily oversubscribed, three form entry primary school serving the Morley region. With a vibrant, inspiring learning environment and contemporary buildings Morley Newlands holds an important place in its local community providing support and an outstanding educational experience for well over 700 pupils and their families each year, including a thriving nursery provision. The successful candidate will be a driven leader who is committed to giving our children the best start to their education. They will have the vision and determination to build upon the portfolio of achievements that have already been established at Morley Newlands Academy and have a strong track record of unwavering dedication to excellence; they will not only have the responsibility of further developing the learning experience for every child in our school – they will also need to have a continuing and profound impact on our whole community.
To join GORSE you must be a leader who embraces a culture of ‘high challenge, high support’ and one who believes in the importance of partnership work. You will also need to be able to display your support for our values which are built upon diligence, integrity, rectitude and kindness. You will be a driven leader who is committed to giving our children the best start to their education. In return you will receive some of the best support and CPD available in our country as well as having the opportunity to secure further progression, if desired, within our exceptional multi-academy trust.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally renowned organisation, making a difference to communities on a local level, whilst individually improving the life chances of young people, particularly those who are disadvantaged. We are very proud of what we have achieved so far but we are humble and restless in our determination to provide the very best standard of education possible. Along with exceptional leadership, GORSE Code supports our vision to provide the Gift of Choice to every young person with whom we have the privilege of working.
