Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre was formed by the merger of two long standing and ‘good’ schools - Mount Grace Academy High School Trust and John Cleveland College in September 2015, as part of the reorganisation of secondary education in Hinckley. Due to the retirement of the present Principal, the Board of Trustees, staff and students are now seeking to appoint a dynamic and aspirational Principal to lead us to outstanding during this period of exciting change.

The successful applicant will have the experience, skills and vision to inspire both staff and students on the next phase of our journey. They will be an exceptional leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes and be committed to ensuring that all students achieve their potential.

About Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre

Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre is a mixed, mainstream secondary school located in Leicestershire. The school has a sixth form, so educates students within the 11-18 age range. 

Hinckley Grammar School was first mentioned in the parish records of 1629. After being rebuilt in 1877, it moved to Leicester, close to the present site, in 1894. In 2012, the school converted to academy status.

Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre aims to provide life-affirming and life-changing experiences that will help students to be fully prepared for life in the 21st century. The secondary school has a dedicated team to support pupils in sixth form and gives students the opportunity to develop core leadership values.
