EMLC Academy Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic and inspirational leader in a supportive, and values driven organisation. Orchard Academy is a vibrant and expanding school for 7 to 11 year olds. The school thrives at the heart of a diverse and dynamic community.

Orchard Academy was in a Special Measures Ofsted category in June 2012 when it joined the Trust. In June 2014 the school was judged 'Good' by Ofsted.

EMLC Academy Trust is looking for a Principal who will:

  • be an outstanding leader, who is able to articulate the vision for the academy and who will inspire and empower others to share in achieving it
  • have a clear vision and determination to build and achieve excellence
  • inspire and motivate children and staff, ensuring all are valued and supported to be the best they can be
  • be passionate about making a difference for every child
  • maintain and develop the excellent relationships between the staff, governors, parents, pupils and the wider community
  • work closely with the Trust and its other academies
