Job overview

We are seeking a new leader to join our warm and friendly school that has been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted.

As Principal, you will ensure we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, blending academic achievement and progress with the life skills, independence and compassion that pupils need to thrive in the modern world.

We will also look to you to further improve achievement across the Academy, identifying areas for development through accurate evaluation and quality assurance whilst ensuring that you work effectively with the local community to raise the profile of the academy locally.

  • is excited about working with colleagues to develop an aspirational and broad curriculum;
  • leads staff effectively to deliver high-quality learning experiences for all pupils, including those with high levels of educational need;
  • has a thorough understanding of factors that influence pupil performance and how to overcome barriers to learning;
  • is relentlessness in driving educational improvement and raising standards for all pupils;
  • has significant experience in leading and developing others;
  • has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
  • has led a team of people through change and improvement;
  • can demonstrate the skill and ability to work in partnership with parents and engage with the wider community in the life of the academy

Sunnyside Primary Academy is one of five GAT academies that serve Northampton. We offer a warm and friendly environment school that delivers a rich and engaging curriculum to pupils from Reception to Year 6.

Ofsted rated the us ‘Good’ in October 2018 and we are proud of our pupils who are expected to work hard and give their best.
