The Board of Governors of the British International School of Stavanger is seeking to appoint a Principal to start in August 2018

Since its founding in 1977, the British School of Stavanger has very successfully managed the needs of its school community, and adapted well to the continued changes in economic and demographic contexts in Norway and locally in Stavanger. It is a truly international school providing a highly regarded international education in English for children aged 4 to 18 years.

The international dimension is very clear, with a mix of cultures and 52 nationalities in a vibrant and caring school, that promotes a British holistic education closely aligned with Norwegian culture. As an established school with a very good reputation, and the recent introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Careers programme, candidates will be attracted to the opportunity to not merely maintain a great school, but grow and develop those programmes and continue to enhance the education for all its students.

The new Principal will need to face and manage the challenges and exciting possibilities of a change agenda and confidently lead the school through its next phase of development.
