At Open Academy, we pride ourselves on providing our students with an extremely wide range of responsibilities where they can develop their leadership, academic and teamwork skills to progress confidently into further study or employment. We also provide a range of opportunities from residential visits to the chance to participate in performances and foreign visits.
As part of our International status, our students have had the chance to work with visitors from Spain, Austria and China. Our distinctive environmental specialism allows students the opportunity to develop their interest in green issues and get involved in community projects. The Academy, underpinned by our strong Christian ethos, is at the hub of the community, with our facilities being well used by many diverse groups.
In the brief time that the Academy has been open, it has seen a steady, sustainable trajectory of improvement, with all the indicators showing that we are well on course in our journey to our vision of “learning excellence.” We are looking for a Principal to continue this journey as the current Principal is retiring.
“We want someone who enjoys being with students, who can challenge us to be better than we imagined,
who works tirelessly to provide us with the rich range of experiences that makes our education so rewarding.” – Head boy and girls, Open Academy
“We are a good school, come and lead us to be outstanding.”
If you believe this could be you then we would be delighted to receive your application.
